Harry Styles gave fans an unexpected scare during his latest Wembley Stadium concert–but thankfully, the moment did not keep him down for long.

While wrapping up As It Was on Friday night, the singer performed his signature “whale” move, spraying water into the air as fans have come to expect. Seconds later, though, things took an alarming turn.

The Watermelon Sugar High crooner appeared to choke on the remaining water, stumbled and fell onto the stage before coughing repeatedly as thousands watched in silence.

Videos shared across social media captured him lying on his back for several seconds, covering his mouth as he tried to catch his breath.

About 17 seconds later, he got back on his feet, smiled, waved to the crowd and finished the show.

Still, the incident left fans rattled.

“How come no one came and checked on him???” one fan commented.

Another wrote, “Nobody ran to check on him.”

“Serious or not, he does need to be careful though,” another added, pointing out the “incredibly hot” conditions.

The performance took place as the UK endured a record-breaking June heatwave, with temperatures climbing above 37 °C (99°F) in parts of the country and nearing 97°F in London.

Fortunately, Styles appeared fully recovered, returning to the Wembley stage the following night as scheduled.

It seems the only thing stronger than London’s heat was Harry Style’s determination to finish the show–even if fans would have happily accepted a little less drama and a little more water break.
