The Prince of Wales was seen getting stuck in as he helped put together care packages filled with essential items to give new tenants a warm welcome as they began the next chapter of their lives.

The video on Instagram shows a smile on his face as he carried chairs into the properties, working alongside partners and local networks to ensure each house felt like a home from the moment residents walked through the door.

He joined in every step of the preparations before taking time to meet the new residents and support staff at Langstane Housing Association.

The visit marked the completion of the homes, a milestone William was determined to celebrate in person after long championing the importance of providing people with not just a roof over their heads, but a place where they can truly belong.

Rather than missing the opportunity, Prince William made sure he was there to welcome residents himself, showing that creating a home is about more than bricks and mortar.
