King Charles welcomes extraordinary guests at Palace after Andrew outing

King Charles and Queen Camilla had flown over to Scotland on Tuesday morning along with key members of the royal family for an important week.

Princess Anne, the King’s trusted sibling, had joined him for the engagements that followed and Prince Edward was also with the King just days after their shamed brother Andrew made secret outing in Sandringham.

Amid the ongoing exile of Andrew in public and private events of the royal family, the ex-royal had “sneaked in and sneaked out” of an event that Duchess Sophie was taking part in while Edward was also in attendance.

It is unclear if there was a direct meeting held between the siblings at time, but it is a possibility that Edward would be reporting to the monarch about the events as they met.

The monarch not only kicked off the royal week in Scotland with an ancient tradition of Ceremony of the Keys, there was also a key meeting held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse to recognise “extraordinary people”.

The Palace shared an update about the investiture ceremony, which the King had led.

“From the Borders to the Highlands and Islands, His Majesty presented honours to recipients from across Scotland, celebrating their exceptional achievements in fields including public service, charity, business, sports, arts and education,” it read.

“Congratulations to all those who received awards today!”

In the Garden Party that followed, the King was accompanied by Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and Prince Edward.
