Royal security insider clears air on Prince Harry’s protection concerns

Prince Harry had claimed that accommodation in the UK has “never” been an issue in the UK for him and his family but the protective security remains his biggest concern.

Hence, when RAVEC declined the request for the police protection, the Sussexes’ confirmed plans for UK were thrown in doubt in less than 24 hours.

Palace sources have revealed that Harry and Meghan have not yet responded to King Charles’s offer for a stay at Buckingham Palace, where they would have royal security protocol. Although, Harry’s statement had argued that the risk is attached to the person and not the place.

A royal security insider has allegedly debunked the claims as TalkTV host Mark Dolan cited a well-placed insider about the matter.

“I spoke to somebody who was intimately involved in royal security for decades,” Mark told Daily Express. “He said to me: ‘This is all nonsense. It’s politics. It’s not security. It’s Harry flexing his muscles within the family.”

Mark added that the insider insisted that “whilst the RAVEC decision is on pause, there is a liaison with the police for the security team looking after Harry and Meghan”. Furthermore, it is “abundantly clear that as long as Harry is on British soil, he will be safe.”

There is no confirmation on the arrangement from the Sussexes and neither the Palace on the matter. It is also turning out to be a close call as Harry, Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, are meant to arrive in just a matter of days.
