Meghan Markle receives ultimatum from King Charles as big risk looms

Meghan Markle will be seriously watched by Palace aides as King Charles decided to take a risky move.

The monarch, in his lifetime, would love to reconcile with the Sussexes, especially with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

And now it appears that the time has finally arrived. He is set to hold a meeting with Harry, Meghan and their little ones during their reported UK trip in mid-July.

Senior royals, including Prince William and Queen Camilla, are reportedly not in favour of this reunion as they fear the Sussexes will create a new scandal, damaging the monarchy.

An insider told Closer that Meghan received a serious warning from the King, asking her to avoid any controversy.

“Charles has gone above and beyond to make this visit happen, but nobody should mistake that for blind trust. The reality is that he's taking a huge chance and he knows it,” the source said.

The report added, “He's made it very clear to Harry that there cannot be any drama or any hint that this trip is being used for personal gain. If he sees any cameras or gets a whiff of troublemaking, that will be the end of things.”

The King is very much in favour of offering Harry and Meghan an olive branch, but he is not ready to be blindsided by them again.

“Charles has gone against a lot of advice to open this door, and truth be told, most people around him still think it's a huge mistake. This is only happening because it’s what Charles wants, but one wrong move on Meghan’s part and any hope of a more permanent reconciliation could disappear overnight,” the source shared.
