Louis Partridge sparks debate in new viral video after breakup

Louis Partridge and Olivia Rodrigo’s recent breakup and the pop superstar’s consequential album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, has been making rounds on the internet as the two actors appear to be moving in different directions.

The 23-year-old actor is currently promoting his upcoming movie, Enola Holmes 3, with co-star Millie Bobby Brown and one video from the press tour took the internet by the storm.

In the video, the House of Guinness star seemingly mocked Brown’s music taste, noting that she prefers to listen to “poppy” tunes while his preference is entirely different.

What could have been a friendly banter, however, was taken severely by social media users who began criticising Partridge for looking down upon the Stranger Things actress.

X users also frequently brought up Rodrigo’s new album in the criticism, claiming that her lyrics already gave them the “warning signs” about her ex-boyfriend.

One of the comments on the video read, “the way stan twitter treated this man like he was a prize, and now they’re discovering how nasty he is.”

While another added, “the way he’s being so pretentious in this clip, like he’s above listening to pop music, when he’s only really known for dating…a pop star…”

A third chimed in, “talking down on pop like that meanwhile his ex-girlfriend of 3 years was one of the biggest popstars in the game like i understand the second half of that album now.”
