ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has announced government's support to Jaamt-e-Islami’s resolution, condemning hanging of Abdul Quader Mollah, a veteran leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh.
However, the minister expressed the need to table a unanimous resolution over what he said judicial murder of Mollah, who he said was the supporter of united Pakistan till the time of his death.
Speaking in the National Assembly on Monday, he said that the Pakistani nation was saddened over the hanging of an elderly man like Abdul Quader Mollah.
He said " we respect independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh but there should be a policy of forget and forgive".

Hasina Wajid's nationalist government hanged the Jamaat leader after a trial conducted by a disputed domestic war crimes tribunal. The hanging led to violent protests in Bangladesh.
