Prince William put to real test by Welsh heavyweight boxer's fight challenge

Prince William's latest outing took an unexpected turn when a Welsh heavyweight boxer challenged him to a fight.

A playful fight invitation from a Commonwealth Games gold medallist in Glasgow turned heads, especially as the heir was there enjoying netball with Kate and the kids.

Far from backing down, the Prince of Wales responded with a smile and steely composure, suggesting he might just be ready to step in the ring to show the strength behind the crown.

After defeating Connor Williams in the heavyweight final, Isaac Okoh sent a cheeky invitation to Prince William: ‘If he wants a pad session, tell him to call me. But the fee is quite high!'

They have now turned their sights towards Olympic gold at LA 2028, following the likes of Nicola Adams, Anthony Joshua and Amir Khan.

‘You’re going to see us back at the top of the podium again,’ added Okoh. ‘I feel like I’m one of the best in the world at 90kgs at the minute. I’m still young.

'Since September last year I’ve been on an amazing run of form, picking up loads of medals. Come LA, I’ll be looking to win another gold medal.

‘It’s all building blocks towards the big pay-per-view nights that we all dream of. This is how we get there, winning medals like this at the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics. Hopefully one day you’ll see us on posters, buying our pay per views.’
