Aaron Donald, the retired NFL star, is making a comeback to the Los Angeles Rams.
The three-time Defensive Player of the Year awardee Donald announced his retirement in March 2024 after posting 111 sacks in 154 regular-season appearances.
After the trade rumours swirled on social media, Rams head coach Sean McVay jumped in to the speculation in an interview with NFL Daily.
“Best tryout that we’ve ever had. I think he can make the team,” said McVay.
Earlier, it was reported that McVay ruled out any possibility of Donald joining the Rams’ training camp but only pointed to talks that were “going in the right direction.”
“That was honestly our way of being able to get a workout with him within the parameters of what’s necessary,” McVay added.
Donald, 35, last appeared in the 2023 season, took part in a team practice session on Wednesday, August 5, as per the NFL Daily roster newswire..
With a D-line headlined by Donald, Garrett, Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, Poona Ford and Byron Young, the Rams could wreck havoc in ahead of the NFL2026-27 season.
