Ariana Grande has landed her seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Petal, which opened with 295,000 equivalent album units in its first week, her biggest week by units this decade.

The debut also marks her strongest week for pure album sales in more than a decade, trailing only her 2014 album My Everything, which sold 169,000 copies in its opening week.

Vinyl was a major driver of the album's success, with 96,000 vinyl copies sold, Grande's best-ever week on vinyl and the fifth-largest vinyl week of 2026 so far.

Petal was released across an extensive range of formats, including ten vinyl variants, five CD editions, two cassette versions and more than ten digital variants featuring bonus content like live cuts, voice notes, a cappellas and instrumentals.

The 12-track album, released without any featured artists, was preceded by lead single Hate That I Made You Love Me, which gave Grande her ninth Hot 100 No. 1 when it topped the chart in June.

With her seventh Billboard 200 chart-topper, Grande now ties for the fifth-most No. 1 albums among solo women in the chart's history, alongside Janet Jackson and Lady Gaga, trailing only Taylor Swift, Barbra Streisand, Madonna and Beyoncé.

She's currently in the midst of her Eternal Sunshine Tour, which runs through September 1.
