Prince Harry takes action for next family meeting with King: ‘extra special'

Prince Harry appears to be feeling optimistic about the Invictus Games in Birmingham next year following a crucial meeting with his father King Charles.

The Duke of Sussex has reportedly been planning to invite the King to open the Games alongside him in a show of unity. Even though the feud is not completely over between the Sussexes and the royals, Harry is hopeful that Charles would consider the meaningful request.

The reunion at Highgrove House last month, where Meghan and the children met Charles and Camilla for the first time in four years, has ignited a vigour in him to continue pursuing for security in the UK.

He wants his family to have the opportunity to see the King without worrying about security.

“The last few years have been incredibly emotional for him, and now he's reached a place where he wants to not only visit his home country more, but also would really like to be with his family,” a source told The Mirror.

“Harry is not going to give up pursuing the security avenue because that would guarantee Meghan and the children coming over with him, and alleviate a lot of the stress he is under when it comes to arranging such a trip.”

Moreover, he wants the Birmingham Games to be the “best” and “extra special” with all his family including his father by his side. And it can only be possible if he has the security to have Meghan, Archie and Lilibet there, too.

“He’s said before that he would like reconciliation with his family, so undoubtedly he’s determined to make things work, and that means not doing anything to jeopardise that.”

The source continued, “If the King were to attend the Invictus Games next year, and appear in public with him, it would be a huge moment for all of them.”
