Amanda Holden was visibly moved during a special moment she shared with her friend on social media. 

The TV and radio personality, 55, took to Instagram to share the lovely experience of being asked to be the godmother to her friends' baby, River Lily, as they gathered to watch the solar eclipse in the garden of her Surrey home.

The mother-of-two shared clips and photos from the get-together, saying 'she would never forget the moment.'

Sharing her thoughts on the day, Amanda wrote: 'Well… if ever there was a day when the stars quite literally aligned.'An eclipse overhead, all of us staring up at the sky… and then one of those life moments I’ll never forget – I was asked to become a Godmother to River Lily.

'A pretty magical day in the universe, and an even more magical one in mine. Safe to say, I’ll remember 12.08.26 forever.'
