TODAY co-host Savannah Guthrie is marking a special milestone as her eldest child, daughter Vale Guthrie Feldman, turns 12.
The 54-year-old journalist penned an emotional note on Instagram along with a bunch of throwback photos from the day Vale was born.
She wrote: “Happy birthday to my dearest Vale, growing up so beautiful, kind, soulful and wise. ❤️ I thank God for you every day.”
Guthrie also gave her an air shoutout during the August 13 broadcast.
Vale’s father, Michael Feldman, 57, also honoured their daughter with a sweet throwback photo of baby Vale giving him a kiss.
Sharing the feelings of motherhood, Guthrie reflected: “I was shocked when we went home with her. I remember being cheek to cheek, the tears rolling down and just having a little conversation with her like, I’m always going to love you. I’m always going to protect you. I’m always going to be your mommy.”
The family is currently going through a difficult phase as Savannah’s mother, Nancy Guthrie’s abduction case, remains unsolved.
