The story behind Prince Harry’s comeback after six years has been unfolding slowly, with most reports claiming that the Sussexes’ decision comes to prioritise what’s best for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
However, it seems that there is a grand scheme at play which the monarch may have employed as a last resort following a slew of setbacks.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has so far been the most devastating setback to the monarchy which refuses to die down. Despite the King’s decision to oust his disgraced brother, the controversy continues to impact the royals and their work.
Now, royal sources have claimed that since Charles has now resorted to his last option and sought Prince Harry’s help. While the help is not asked for exclusively, but the royals believe with Harry’s return the monarchy can regain some of its reputation back.
“There will inevitably be cynics who look at the timing and argue that Harry's return could hardly have been more convenient for the King,” insiders cited by Radar Online claimed.
“Charles is now facing rumours he helped engineer the Sussexes' move as he knew it would be an elaborate distraction from his brother’s scandal.”
They continued, “The Sussexes’ homecoming has completely transformed the conversation around the monarchy. Andrew was consuming damaging headlines, and suddenly Harry and Meghan are the biggest royal story again.”
Hence, the Palace is relieved by the change in attention and at the same time some genuine good can come of it if a reconciliation actually happens.
