Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden has also paid a deeply personal tribute to King Harald V.
She remembered the late Norwegian monarch not simply as a fellow royal, but as a beloved godfather who held a special place in her life.
In a message shared on Instagram, Victoria described Harald as a warm and welcoming presence, recalling his sense of humour and the unmistakable “twinkle” in his eye.
She also called him an extraordinary person and a role model, reflecting on the lasting impression he left on those who knew him.
Her tribute became particularly personal as she described Harald as someone with a rare ability to truly see the people around him.
She sent a poignant farewell to her “Uncle Harald”, saying he would remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
Victoria also extended her and Prince Daniel’s condolences to Norway, sending their warmest thoughts to Queen Sonja, King Haakon, Queen Mette-Marit and the wider Norwegian Royal Family.
