‘The Gentlemen' star Theo James clears mystery about Meghan's casting

Meghan Markle has been the talk of the town for various reasons but the recent one had been about her comeback to acting as she made the move back to Britain.

The former Suits actress was rumoured to be in Guy Ritchie’s show for its third season just days before season two dropped on Netflix. Former Vanity Fair editor claimed that Meghan was dropped from the role as there was plenty of backlash.

In reports that followed, it was suggested that a deal is still being worked out. In an interview Guy teased that anything is possible. While Netflix execs also stated that “all bets were off”.

After weeks of speculation and vague responses from Netflix officials, the lead actor for the hit show The Gentlemen finally cleared the air surrounding Meghan’s casting decision..

Theo James weighed in on the drama during a Digital Spy interview as they discussed the release of the second season.

“I think that is just a rumour," James said. “I don’t even know the practicalities of how one would make that happen.”

When asked about who he would like to have in the series, the actor added, “In terms of people that I would like to have in the series, I’d like someone psychopathic, like old school Robert Carlyle.”
