Princess Anne is right at home for Saffie Osborne's history making win

Princess Anne looked completely at home among the horses as she arrived at Doncaster Racecourse for the third day of the Betfred St Leger Festival.

The Princess Royal, who has shared her mother Princess Elizabeth’s lifelong passion for horses and racing appeared to relish being part of one of British racing’s biggest days.

This year’s St Leger was even more memorable as the race marked its 250th running, bringing a historic milestone to the world’s oldest Classic.

Sunday belonged to Saffie Osborne, who made British racing history by becoming the first female jockey to win a British Classic.

Riding Highwayman, the 24-year-old produced a winning performance in the St Leger and secured her place in the record books.

Anne presented Osborne with her trophy following the landmark victory.
