RB Kenneth Walker III leads Chiefs to lopsided win over Broncos in his debut at Arrowhead

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Kenneth Walker III standout performance in his debut game led his team cruise past the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium.

At the Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri, the star of the night was not much-anticipated QB Patrick Mahomes, who steered the Chiefs to a thumping 31-10 win on Monday night over Broncos, but was the reigning Super Bowl RB Walker.

Running back Kenneth Walker IIII, who signed with the Chiefs in March, was all guns blazing in his Kansas City debut.

The Chiefs running back Walker rose to the occasion as was expected of the Chiefs from their offense.

The quarterback Mahomes made a comeback after undergoing surgery to repair the torn ACL and LCL in his left knee, an injury he suffered back in December last year.

Walker was outstanding against the Broncos, who racked up 191 combined yards and two touchdowns on 26 touches.

He turned four short-yardage opportunities, including a 60-yard touchdown on fourth-and-inches early in the third quarter.

Walker emerged as the only third player who scored less than 100 rushing yards in his Chiefs debut since 2000.

He joined the ranks of running back Kareem Hunt (148 yards in 2017) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (138 yards in 2020).
