King Charles issues clear order on Prince Harry treatment: 'No courtesy'

King Charles might have broken Prince Harry's heart with stern instructions to people on his treatment.

The monarch made it clear that once someone backed off from their noble royal duties, there is no comeback.

Reminding the Sussexes and the world about the Sandringham agreement, Charles called the newly returned couple 'private citizens' and non-working royals.

Decoding the monarch's message, Jennie Bond penned in the i newspaper, [Charles'] letter clarifying that they are not part of "The Firm" - the working royals - and should not be regarded as such carried quite a sting.

"Nothing, the Palace insisted, had changed.

"But, in truth, it had. The King had publicly flexed his muscles and decreed how his younger son should be treated: no bells, whistles, curtseys or any other show of royal flummery."
