FDA warns popular frozen dessert may contain stones, other hard objects: details inside

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a recall of a popular frozen dessert over potential contamination with small stones and other hard objects.

The recall was issued following consumer complaints about the products, after which the U.S. Food and Drug Administration was informed of the recall.

The recalled pints were marketed and sold at retail locations across the U.S., including Target and Walmart.

According to a recall alert, Danone USA has issued a voluntary recall of its So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pints with best-by dates falling on or before April 3, 2028.

The affected products also bear the SKU “136603” and UPC “744473476138.”

In the recall alert, the company warned small stones and other hard objects may be found within the cashew inclusions.

“Due to potential presence of foreign materials, such as small stones and other hard objects, within the cashew inclusions," the company said in a statement issued on September 15, 2026.

The company has urged the consumers who already bought the affected product not to consume it and return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

And in case someone used the affected product, it is recommended to consult a health care provider immediately.
