Prince William and Prince Harry's uncle made another shocking revelation about a person very close to King Charles' heart.
It has been said that Charles Spencer waited for years to speak out on his sister Princess Diana's behalf. Now, the time has arrived.
According to the Daily Mail, in his upcoming explosive book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, the former brother-in-law of Charles claimed that the late Queen made an offer on the day of Diana's funeral.
The royals were ready to restore Princess Diana's HRH title; it has been revealed in the book.
The Queen’s private secretary Robert Fellowes came to Spencer with the offer.
Spencer wrote, "I felt that I knew in my bones how she would view this posthumous award.
"That’s very kind of the Queen, of course. But what’s the point, Robert? Now? I mean – Diana’s dead."
It is understood that the new admission has left the monarch hurt, and the royal family is 'prepared' for more 'embarrassment' once the book is released.
