Lili Reinhart almost turned down the cameo offer for BTS’ SWIM and the reason is surprisingly relatable.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Riverdale alum revealed that she initially thought she would have to say no to the opportunity after receiving a DM from BTS’ creative director.

“I can’t dance at all,” she recalled thinking when she was approached for the video. Having seen the globally renowned K-pop band’s famously choreographed music videos, the American actress worried she would be expected to keep up with the group’s moves.

Thankfully, the role turned out to be much more her speed.

The Love Hypothesis actress explained that her performance in SWIM involved more improvisational and free-flowing movement rather than elaborate choreography.

She ultimately flew to Lisbon and spent four days filming with BTS. However, landing the role was only the beginning of her adventure.

Reinhart, 30, told Fallon that she became extremely nauseous after the windy flight into Lisbon and spent much of the four-day shoot battling motion sickness.

Things became particularly memorable while filming on a boat, where she said she was taking a significant amount of nausea medication.

The medication left her so drowsy that she was essentially half-asleep while filming the boat scenes.

“So I’m kind of unconscious in the music video when I am on the boat,” Reinhart explained.

It is pertinent to note that Reinhart’s BTS adventure began with one Instagram DM she almost never opened.
