George Clooney's 'close' bond with late Presley Gerber revealed

George Clooney reportedly tried to be a source of support for Presley Gerber long before the 27-year-old model’s tragic death.

Clooney, who Presley and his sister Kaia Gerber affectionately called “Uncle George,” reportedly shared a close bond with the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. 

A source close to the actor told the Daily Mail that Clooney “would spend hours talking to Presley.”

“George is the nicest guy in the world and would do anything to help Rande’s family,” the source said.

Clooney and Rande Gerber co-founded Casamigos, while the actor remained close to the family over the years. According to the outlet, Clooney also offered Presley advice following his 2018 DUI.

“Especially after Presley got a DUI (in 2018), George would advise, ‘Don’t do that, it’s not smart. Be careful,'” the source continued. 

“More recently, George shared loving notes like, ‘I am here for you,’ that kind of stuff.”

Another source described Clooney and Presley as “close,” adding, “Presley was more than just a friend’s kid. They had a bond.”

How did Presley Gerber die?

Presley died Sunday at a residential treatment facility in Santa Monica, California, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. 

His death was reported as a suspected overdose, though the official cause and manner of death remain subject to the medical examiner’s determination.

His family said in a statement, “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”

Page Six later claimed Presley had entered the facility days earlier because “he knew he needed help,” but reportedly “did not appear sober” when he arrived.

“He had not been doing well,” the source said.

Clooney was reportedly left devastated by the news, with one insider calling the death a “tremendous gut punch.”
