Princess Anne's son-in-law Mike Tindall shares heartbreaking life update

Princess Anne’s family received some upsetting news as Mike Tindall made an announcement.

The former rugby player, who is married to Zara Tindall, had previously mentioned that this father was suffering from Parkinson’s. In the latest episode of his podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, he revealed that his father was no more.

Mike’s father, Phil Tindall, who was also a rugby player, died last week at age 80.

“Unfortunately, my dad passed away last week,” he told the listeners.

“Big shout-out to Otley Rugby Club,” adding, “They played Chester on the weekend, and they did a minute’s silence to my dad, who was captain in ’72, ’73.”

Phil’s former club – Otley Rugby Club in West Yorkshire for which he played during the 1972 and 1973 seasons and served as the club’s captain – honoured him with a moment of silence during a match last weekend.

“That little moment, I got to watch it,” he said. “Someone recorded it, sent it to me, and then they wrote a little thing in the programme as well, which I read. But thank you very much to Otley Rugby Club for it.”

Mike’s father had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for more than two decades. The grieving son had previously mentioned how he watched his father “really deteriorate” with the disease.

It is likely that Mike is supported by his family, including his wife Zara and the royals would have also offered their condolences.
