Senior royals step in for King Charles to strengthen relations amid crisis

The Royal Family is taking major steps to strengthen ties and the position of the monarchy on a global scale as they shared an update about senior working royals.

Just a day after it was revealed that Princess Anne will be undertaking a visit to Oslo next month, it shared that the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will visit Botswana from 5th to 8th October.

They will be marking the 60th anniversary of the nation’s independence. Further details of the trip will be revealed as the visit inches closer.

Prince Richard, who is the first cousin once removed of King Charles III, and his wife Birgitte, are loyal working members of the royal family. Continuing on from their work during Elizabeth II’s reign, the couple has shown the same kind of support for the current monarch.

Charles has been embroiled in a slew of controversies in the past few months. The Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal had already given a massive hit to the monarchy’s reputation, and the ongoing rift between the royals and the Sussexes had not been any help.

Now, as Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, reopens old wounds for the monarch in his new book, Swan Song, the Palace is understood to be rattled by the onslaught.
