Princes William, Harry's uncle lets slip true feelings about estrangement

Prince William and Prince Harry’s uncle Charles Spencer has doubled down on his stance on the ongoing rift between his nephews.

Princess Diana’s younger brother, who has claimed that he was “overruled” for rejecting that idea of having young William and Harry walk behind their mother’s coffin, has explained really how he feels about the estrangement of the two.

The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex have not been on speaking terms in nearly four years and there are no signs of reconciliation.

While discussing the newly-released memoir about Diana, Earl Spencer clarified that he was not taking a hit at the King, and he had no intention to do so. He is only trying to share a story of his sister.

Spencer was then asked that since William and Harry are not talking, Diana would have wanted “more than anything else in the world” for her boys to be on good terms.

“Any mother would want her children to be on good terms. And I’m just an uncle, you know, and I’m there for, if any of them ever want anything from me,” he said.

He noted that he would “never presume to be involved in that”. He said rifts are “personal” and it is all down to the individuals to do what seems fit.
