Taylor Swift, Travis' family drops bombshell on Meghan with surprise invite to Kate

Taylor Swift's husband Travis Kelce's family suprised Prince William and Princess Kate with their loving gesture amid rift with Meghan Markle.

Kylie Kelce, Travis's sister-in-law has extended a public invitation to the Princess of Wales to appear on her podcast, Not Gonna Lie, suggesting the pair have plenty to talk about.

Kylie, 34, proposed that the future British Queen join her for a conversation about field hockey and raising children, saying: "We got a couple things in common."

This surprise move is nothing short of a bombshell for Meghan Markle. It stings even more given the past, when the Duchess reportedly sent an invitation to the global superstar only to be snubbed, and now the tables have turned with Kate receiving the honour instead.

Unlike desperate Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Kate and William don't need to chase fame as their star power recently stole the show at Tom Cruise's London premiere.

The former American football wife, who coaches field hockey at a local level, pointed to overlapping interests with the Princess Catherine as reason enough for the two women to sit down together.

The invitation was sparked by Kate's recent outing in Scotland, where she was filmed playing shinty earlier this month. Kylie Kelce was clearly impressed, declaring: "Princess Kate just reminded everyone that she's still an absolute boss at field hockey," and adding that the 44-year-old royal "looks beautiful doing it."

She insisted on claiming it as a victory for her own sport. "Where do you think she got that skill? Yeah, that's right. She's a field hockey player," Mrs Kelce said.

She also highlighted the existing link between their husbands as further justification for the invitation to the beloved Princess.

In 2024, William brought Prince George, 13, and Princess Charlotte, 11, to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium, where they posed for a backstage selfie with the pop star and Travis Kelce.

The prince of Wales also made an unexpected guest appearance on the New Heights podcast, hosted by her husband Jason Kelce and his brother Travis, back in July.

"Our husbands chitchatted on the other podcast," she noted, before pitching her own show as the natural next step. But you could come on this one. I don't know. Just a thought. It's a thought. We'd love to have you. No pressure. Please," she said, delivering the request with a blend of enthusiasm and self-deprecating humour.

The royal couple are very popular among stars and celebrities as they nneed tnot  make efforts to get fame among them unlike Meghan Markle and Prince William.
