Dropped from Ed Sheeran tour, Macklemore announces his own ‘Free Palestine' shows

American Rapper Macklemore, who recently made headlines after being dropped from the Ed Sheeran tour, now has announced shows of his own. He named his tour “Free Palestine,” the chant which got him dropped from the English singer’s Loop Tour.

The 43-year-old rapper announced the news on Thursday via a post on X, revealing that the tour will start next month with three shows in Europe.

“So, as you all know, my schedule freed up a bit,” Macklemore wrote while announcing the tour.

He will perform in:

• Dublin on October 26,
• Paris on October 29
• London's OVO Arena Wembley on October 30.

More shows, including the ones in the U.S. will be announced soon.

Macklemore revealed that he won't be performing alone and he has reached out to several other artisits who have publicly expressed support for Palestine. He hasn't revealed the name of the artisits joining him on "Free Palestine" tour.

He wrote, “Because of how quickly all of this has come together, a lot of the conversations, schedules and details are still being worked out. But this is a moment of momentum, and there is work to be done.”

He plans to donate all the proceeds from the concerts to organisations supporting Palestinians, including the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, Gaza Soup Kitchen, Medical Aid for Palestinians, Anera and UNRWA USA.

The tour comes less than two weeks after Macklemore was removed from the remaining US dates of Sheeran's Loop Tour.

During his appearance at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium earlier this month, the rapper voiced support for Palestinians and criticised Israel.

Tour promoter Messina Touring Group later said venues hosting upcoming shows would not allow concerts featuring Macklemore to take place.

Though Sheeran said the decision wasn't his, the fallout didn't end there as Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe and Beoga subsequently pulled out of Sheeran's tour.

Macklemore said what happened was bigger than one performer, arguing that artists shouldn't only use their platforms when doing so is safe.

Tickets go on sale September 30, 2026.
