Prince George faces new restriction after Archie, Lilibet school change

Prince William and Princess Catherine’s eldest son, Prince George, had only begun his new journey at Eton College, when a new update was given to him and his classmates.

The 13-year-old, who had enrolled in the alma mater of his father and uncle Prince William, also shared a milestone with his cousins Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who have moved to back to the UK to start school.

However, the Sussex children had to change schools just after two days after they suffered a security risk.

While George will be protected 24/7 given the royal security protocol for the heir to the British throne, Eton has implemented a new rule for all its pupil after parents raised concerns about developing unhealthy screen habits.

The revised rule dictates that the boys will be restricted to browsing through a purpose-built secure browser, limited to a “white list” of websites vetted and approved by their teachers.

Mike Grenier, Eton’s deputy head, contacted the families of incoming pupils in July this year to outline a substantially tightened regime for iPad usage. The letter, also shared by The Telegraph, confirmed that the school-issued iPads would ensure that the device is being used for academic purposes only.

It seems that Prince William and Princess Kate would also be in agreeance with the change for the students.

It is understood that Harry and Meghan, who have advocated extensively for having safety protocols for children, who use social media. They have also supported the legal case against Meta, as the company have been accused to intentionally target children and make features addictive to them.
