Duchess Sophie makes romantic statement in paisley dress for India charity ball

The Duchess of Edinburgh was captured on video looking glamorous as she arrived at a charity event in London on Saturday.

Sophie was at the Nobu Hotel for the Oscar Foundation Ball, where she was photographed mingling with guests and supporting an organisation close to her heart. 

The Duchess serves as patron of the Oscar Foundation, which works to provide education and opportunities for children and young people in marginalised communities across India through football and community programmes.

For the evening, she opted for a romantic paisley-print maxi dress by Veronica Beard, choosing the Sama Paisley Maxi Dress in an ecru and multi-coloured print. 

The Duchess' appearance comes at a time when her role within the royal family has continued to attract attention. 

As one recent assessment read: "No one can know exactly what William's reign will look like, but one thing is clear that Sophie has established herself as one of the monarchy's most dependable figures."

Her close relationship with other senior royals has also become increasingly apparent, with Sophie frequently appearing alongside the Princess of Wales at engagements.
