Tallulah Willis posts rare photo kissing dad Bruce Willis amid dementia battle

Bruce Willis is cherishing a quiet family moment with his youngest daughter, Tallulah Willis.

On Monday, September 28, the 32-year-old artist and writer shared a rare photo on Instagram showing her kissing her father on the forehead as he sat smiling with his eyes closed.

Tallulah, wearing a blue-and-white plaid shirt and black sunglasses, gently cradled the 71-year-old actor’s head in her hands during the unposed exchange.

She captioned the post: “So cute!”

The happy moment arrives almost two months after Tallulah married musician Justin Acee on Aug. 8 in the backyard of their family's Hailey, Idaho, house. 

Bruce was present at the wedding, seen posing with a smile and one arm wrapped around his daughter while holding the hand of his new son-in-law. Demi Moore, Bruce's ex-wife and Tallulah's mother, was also celebrating with daughters Rumer and Scout.

Bruce's family announced his diagnosis of aphasia in 2022 before receiving a more precise diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in February 2023. FTD causes problems in communication and behaviour and is the leading type of dementia for those under 60.

Tallulah has talked about the struggles they face due to her father's illness. "It's difficult. There are tough days, but there is so much love," Tallulah told PEOPLE in 2024, saying that her father's illness made her realise that nothing should be taken for granted.

Emma Heming Willis, Bruce's wife, has been sharing news about the situation as well. She mentioned how they had decided to move him from their home into a nearby house on one floor where he would have round-the-clock caretakers.

She recently said the question she hears most is whether Bruce still remembers her, and her answer is a resounding yes.
