Pakistan resume at 19-0 on 3rd day in final Test
SHARJAH: Openers Khurram Manzoor and Ahmed Shehzad resumed Pakistan’s first innings at 19 for no loss on third day of the third and final Test against Sri Lanka here at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Both openers are expected to provide a sound start as Pakistan are in a tight corner to level the series after losing the second Test by nine wickets at Dubai.

Yesterday, debutant Dilruwan Perera and captain Angelo Mathews just missed centuries before Sri Lanka declared their first innings.

Perera made a brilliant 95 with 12 fours and two sixes in his Test debut and Mathews was out for a more pedestrian 91 with five fours and a six to quash Pakistan hopes of restricting Sri Lanka after it resumed from 220-5 overnight.

Pakistan openers Khurram Manzoor (14 not out) and Ahmed Shehzad (5 not out) batted for six overs after Sri Lanka declared late in the day.
