Govt committee conducting media trial of talks: Sami

ISLAMABAD: Maulana Samiul Haq says the government committee is conducting a media trial of the dialogue process.

Maulana Samiul Haq who is a member of the committee nominated by the Taliban was responding to statements made by government committee coordinator Irfan Siddiqui.

Siddiqui said the Taliban committee had not apprised them about the next meeting, adding that the government team was willing to meet any time.

Maulana Samiul Haq said they had not refused to meet with the government committee. He added that statements being made by the government committee were not based on facts.

Maulana Sami further said that the committee nominated by the Taliban had issued a response to the government committee immediately and were in constant contact with them.
