Brilliant hundred for Hafeez
SHARJAH: Pakistan, who won the toss and batted, were 186-3 at tea on the opening day of the third and final Test against New Zealand in Sharjah on Wednesday.

At the tea break Mohammad Hafeez was unbeaten on 123 -- his seventh Test century -- and with him skipper Misbah-ul Haq was on four not out.

Off-spinner Mark Craig has figures of 2-44.

Pakistan lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Abu Dhabi and drawing the second in Dubai.

Hafeez, who missed the second Test due to a hamstring problem, was one of two changes with paceman Mohammad Talha also included in place of Taufeeq Umar and unfit Ehsan Adil.

New Zealand veteran left-arm spinner Daniel Vettori staged a comeback to Test cricket after a 28-month gap, replacing Jimmy Neesham.
