ECP reserves verdict in Waheeda Shah torture case till tomorrow
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has reserved the verdict of the Waheeda Shah torture case till Wednesday, Geo News reported Tuesday.

Chief Election Commissioner heard the case of Waheeda Shah, the PPP candidate for the by-poll to PS-53 Tando Muhammad Khan.

Shah is currently facing charges of slapping an assistant presiding officer and other Election Commission (EC) staff.

Waheeda did not appear in the hearing despite being summoned by the commission.

The Supreme Court has already taken suo moto notice of the incident. Shah was contesting for a seat of the provincial assembly that fell vacant after the death of her husband, Syed Mohsin Shah Bukhari.
