FIR against PTI leaders for violating Section 144 withdrawn

LAHORE: An FIR launched against 600 activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) including Ibrar-ul-Haq, Javed Hashmi and Khurshid Qusuri has been withdrawn on the orders of Punjab Minister for Law, Rana Sanaullah, Geo News reported.

Earlier, a case was filed against the activists for violating section 144 of the constitution, which restricts gathering of two or more than two people on the specified place.

It is to be mentioned here that PTI carried out a protest on Friday against the ongoing loadshedding crisis in Punjab and blocked the Mall Road in Lahore for more than eight hours.

Later Punjab law minister, Rana Sanaullah ordered the withdrawal of FIR.
