WASHINGTON: US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta welcomed Pakistan's decision to reopen the NATO supply route.
"I welcome Pakistan's decision to open the ground lines of communication. As I have made clear, we remain committed to improving our partnership with Pakistan and to working closely together as our two nations confront common security challenges in the region," Panetta said.
Earlier US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton in a statement said that Pakistan would be reopening the NATO supply route and the US was sorry for the losses incurred by the Pakistani military in Salala.
