KARACHI: A roadside bomb weighing thirteen kilogram was found and diffused by the bomb disposal squad at Safora Chowrangi Friday morning, Geo News reported.
According to police, the bomb disposal squad found a 13-kg improvised explosive device (IED) along the road at Safora Chowrangi that was immediately diffused by the squad.
Sources told that the bomb was planted near a school packed in a cement block. The explosives material included ball bearings, nut and bolts while a remote control device was also recovered.
The bomb disposal squad told that the locally manufactured bomb resembled the ones that were used in Buffer Zone, Quaidabad and Super Highway blasts.
