Attack on Malala: SIC to stage country-wide protest Friday

LAHORE: Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has announced to observe a country-wide day of protest on Friday (October 12) against the attack on Malala Yousafzai

In a statement issued here Wednesday, Chairman SIC Sahibzada Fazal Karim said special prayers will be held on Friday congregations for a quick recovery and well-being of Malala Yousafzai.

"The attack on Malala Yousafzai has inflicted wounds on the body of the entire nation," he said.

He said the suicide and drone attacks has turned Pakistan into a valley of death. The terrorists are not Jihadists; they are troublemakers, he added.

Sahibazada Fazal Karim urged the whole nation to stand up against terrorism, adding the agenda of both American and Pakistani Taliban is to weaken and then destroy the country.

"The nation should stand with Pak Army to crush to cancer of terrorism," he asserted.
