PESHAWAR: At least fourteen people including six women were killed when an over-speeding wedding procession van veered off the road and plunged into Bhudni canal on Charsadda road here on Friday.
According to police, the tragic mishap came to pass in Chargano Killey area.
Sources said about a dozen others were also injured in the incident.
The dead and the injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. Some of the injured are said to be critical.
SP Javed Khan told mediapersons, that 35 persons were on board in the ill-fated coach adding some passengers are missing after the mishap.
Rescue sources also said that a list of victims is under compilation.
