Lahore: Boy bathing in canal drowns, search underway

LAHORE: A twelve-year-old boy, while bathing in a canal, drowned near Thokar Niaz Beg on Sunday here, Geo News reported.

Rescue teams have been searching for the drowned boy since last few hours, but haven’t met with any success as yet.

Eyewitnesses said that Adnan, 12 resident of Thokar Niaz Beg’s nearby dwellings had come to the canal for a bath and after taking a dive into the canal didn’t come up. Later, the people over there informed the rescue teams, which reaching the scene started searching Adnan, but despite passage of several hours haven’t succeeded as yet.

On the other hand, the boys accompanying Adnan for a bath ran away from there in utter scare.
