KARACHI: Authorities have failed to curb illegal activities and stop unscrupulous elements from looting citizens, who visit Karachi’s Cattle Market on Super Highway to purchase sacrificial animals for Eid-ul-Azha.
Geo News anchor Masood Raza revealed in his program Hum Awam that some elements are collecting millions of rupees through illegal means at a check-post setup at the market.
The program revealed that sick animals were easily entering the market as fake fitness certificates were also being provided by a veterinary doctor, who failed to give satisfactory response to questions asked by Mr Raza.
The provincial government has failed in taking any action against the elements minting money in the name of cantonment board, army contractors and district councils.
