ANF, Customs counters removed from Karachi Airport

KARACHI: Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Aviation Shujaat Azeem has directed the authorities concerned to remove Checking Counters of the Customs and the ANF at the Karachi Airport.

Sources said that ANF and Customs counters were being removed from the International Lounge.

The sources further said that Azeem had directed that those traveling abroad should only be checked at the Airport Security Force (ASF) counter.

They said that the ANF arrested dozens of travelers allegedly involved in smuggling at their counter. However, after the new orders Custom and ANF officials will have to check the travelers at the ASF counter.
