Muzaffarabad: 1 accused killed, 6 cops injured in encounter

MUZAFFARABAD: One accused was killed and another arrested, while six cops sustained injuries in an encounter that took place on Saturday morning here, Geo News reported.

Sources said that the police during picket signaled a vehicle to stop at Shaheed Gali on Link Road, but the accused opening fire fled away.

Meanwhile, Saddar police station on receiving information sent a police party that chasing the accused traced them at a distance, who despite warning didn’t stop instead resorted to firing that injured six policemen, while in the retaliatory firing one accused was killed and another arrested with arms in critically injured condition.
