NA passes resolution to extend PPO for 120 days

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Wednesday adopted a resolution extending the Protection of Pakistan Ordinance 2014 for another 120 days.

The resolution was moved by Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid.

The Minister said it is very important bill for the defence and security of country and the prime minister has given directions to get it passed through consensus.

The opposition staged walk out from the house over the extension of Protection of Pakistan Ordinance.

The House also adopted another resolution extending the Gas Theft Control and Recovery Ordinance, 2014 for a further period of one hundred and twenty days.

The resolution to this effect was moved by Parliamentary Secretary for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahzadi Umarzadi Tiwana.
