Pakistan narrowly win 1st ODI against Sri Lanka

SHARJAH: Pakistan recorded a sensational 11-run victory after Sri Lanka gave a tough fight in the first One-day International here at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Chasing a huge target of 323, Sri Lanka batted aggressively to win the match but Pakistan bowled them out for 311 with two balls to spare.

Pacer Junaid Khan captured three for 44 and leg-spinner Shahid Afridi took two for 30 for Pakistan.
