Pakistan team returns home to warm welcome
LAHORE: The Pakistan cricket team returned home on Monday morning after an unsuccessful defense of the Asia Cup losing to Sri Lanka in the final.

Hundreds of fans were present at the airport to receive the team, showering them with rose petals.

Even though skipper Misbah-ul-Haq was disappointed with the loss in the final he expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of the team.

Talking to reporters at the airport the team skipper further said that there were some departments that still needed improvement specially the fielding.

But he was happy with the way the team was playing and mentioned Shahid Afridi’s return to form before the T-20 World Cup was encouraging and would uplift the spirit of the team.

On a question on slow batting in the final, Misbah hit back at critics asking them to tell him how one should bat when the team is 3 down early on.

However he defended his fast bowlers saying that the spin and batting friendly pitches make the fast bowlers life miserable.
