PM Nawaz orders reduction in duration of load shedding

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities concerned to reduce the duration of load shedding to 6 hours in urban areas and 7 hours in rural parts of the country.

PM Nawaz issued these orders while chairing a high level meeting held here to review the energy crisis on Wednesday.

The premier said the current duration of load shedding is unacceptable.

PM Nawaz also directed to resolve issues pertaining to fuel supplies to power house in three days time, adding, fuel should be transported to power plants via Pakistan Railways.
