Doctors protest against target killings, boycott OPDs today
KARACHI: Targeted killings of doctors, kidnapping, extortion threats, and failure of the government to provide protection forced Sindh Doctors Welfare Association (SDWA) on Monday to boycott duties at outpatient departments (OPDs) in all government hospitals.

The association also declared closure of all private clinics today, while a huge rally was organised by health workers of Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi.

The SDWA claimed that there is no one to hear the voice of the doctors and their challenges and that they will keep on protesting for their welfare since no law enforcement body is taking any actions yet.

The association further said that all doctors will wear black arm bands today and protest at the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) at 4pm.
