Steven Spielberg wishes to film Ali Haider Gilani’s story

Hollywood director Steven Spielberg of Jurassic Park and Saving Private Ryan fame has expressed his wish to make a movie based on Ali Haider Gilani’s abduction and then escape.

Spielberg called Ali Haider on Friday and congratulated him on his recovery. He added that he wished to visit Pakistan with his team and make a movie based on the life and events of Ali Haider, former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said.

Steven Spielberg  director, producer, and screenwriter, is considered one of the founding pioneers of the New Hollywood era. He is one of the co-founders of DreamWorks Studios.

In a career spanning over four decades, Spielberg has made films Jaws, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Saving Private Ryan and the Extra-Terrestrial and achieved box office records.

The unadjusted gross of all Spielberg-directed films exceeds $9 billion worldwide, making him the highest-grossing director in history.
